Who we are

alertloop provides an SRE and observability platform. This policy covers our website and the alertloop platform (the "Service"). We're a distributed team with operations in Canada and India; this policy is governed by the laws of Canada.

What we collect

• Account data — your name, work email, organisation, and authentication details when you register.
• Telemetry from your systems — when you install an agent or configure a monitor, we collect the operational data you point us at: host metrics, logs, traces, real-user metrics, asset inventory, and incident data. You choose what to send.
• Usage data — how you interact with the platform (pages, features, timestamps) and basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, used to run and secure the Service.

How we use it

• To operate, monitor, and secure the Service and your account.
• To detect incidents, run monitors, and — where you've enabled it — perform automated or AI-assisted remediation.
• To provide support and respond to your requests.
• To improve the Service and understand how it's used.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your data to train models for other customers.

AI processing

Where you enable AI features, incident data may be processed by large language models to classify incidents, suggest root causes, and match remediation playbooks. This processing happens to serve your account. You control which assets have AI features enabled and what level of autonomy they have.

How we share it

We share data only with service providers who help us run the platform (for example, cloud hosting and infrastructure), and only as needed to deliver the Service. These providers are bound to protect your data. We may also disclose data where required by law.

International transfers

Our team operates across Canada and India, so your data may be accessed or processed in those countries. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Telemetry is retained according to your plan and configuration. When you close your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to meet legal obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email us at hello@alertloop.io and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest, per-tenant database isolation, and hardened agents. See our Security page for the detail.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above, and we'll notify you where appropriate.
